When you start the Ask AI chat in NEXT, we apply OpenAI's large language model to your data. We use the following data as input for the chat:

  1. The prompt you type into the chat

  2. The highlights you select as context for the AI

Prompt

A "prompt" in NEXT's AI chat is simply the message or question you type in. It's like starting a conversation or giving a command. NEXT uses your prompt as a guide to understand what you're looking for and responds accordingly. Think of it as telling a friend what you need or asking them a question.

Context for the AI chat

When starting an AI chat in NEXT, you let the AI run on (a subset of) your highlights. You have full control over the highlights the AI considers. You can let it run on everything or a custom selection. Here's a quick overview:

  • Start the chat on all highlights in your teamspace

  • A search on the highlights in your teamspace

  • All highlights of 1 or more selected recordings

  • Custom selection of highlights

  • A single highlight
