Change a User Role

Use Users to update what level of access a person has in your company account in NEXT.

Changing a user's role helps you align permissions with the responsibilities they have inside the organization.

NEXT includes two user role levels and an additional admin role to help you manage permissions and access throughout your workspace.

RoleAccess
Full userCan see and manage teamspace and data settings.
Guest userCan only view the data for the teamspace to which they're invited.
Admin userCan manage billing, users, workspace branding, authentication options, and workspace templates.

Before You Start

  • You must have permission to manage company users.
  • Role changes affect the user's access across the tenant.

Steps

  1. Open Settings > Tenant > Users.
  2. Find the user whose permissions you want to update.
  3. Open the role menu.
  4. Select the new role.

When Should I Use This?

  • When someone takes on admin responsibilities.
  • When a user should move from guest access to full user access.
