Label Clusters

Clusters are typically used to organize and nurture big-ticket items, such as insights, top findings, assumptions, hypotheses, and UX or Product deliverables. They're designed to be enriched with evidence, such as highlights.

Once you have created lots of clusters, easily organizing them and finding them back is key. NEXT offers powerful organization and search features for clusters, and labels are one of the fastest ways to keep them structured.

Before You Start

  • Make sure you already have a few clusters in the library.

Steps

  1. Select the clusters you want to organize in the library.
  2. In the selection panel, click Add label.
  3. Choose one of the suggestions to apply that label to all selected clusters.

When Should I Use Cluster Labels?

  • When you want to group related insights, findings, or assumptions.
  • When your cluster library has grown and you need faster filtering.
  • When you want to organize several clusters in one action instead of editing them one by one.

Tips

  • Keep label names consistent across your team so filters stay predictable.
  • Use labels together with search filters when you need to find clusters quickly later.
  • Apply labels in bulk while reviewing related clusters to save time.

Example

This example selects three clusters in the library and applies the first suggested label from the bulk action panel.

FAQ

Q: Can I add a label to several clusters at once?

Yes. Select multiple clusters first, then use the bulk Add label action from the selection panel.

Q: Do I need to open each cluster to label it?

No. You can add labels directly from the cluster library after selecting one or more clusters.

Q: Why should I label clusters?

Labels make clusters easier to organize, search, and find again later.
