Quick start
Configure the G2 integration in NEXT, create a Teamspace subscription for each G2 product you want to track, add the matching G2 API key and product ID on the subscription, and let the scheduled sync import G2 survey responses into NEXT as Highlights.
Why integrate with G2 reviews?
G2 reviews are a high-signal source of externally visible product feedback. They often capture structured and semi-structured insights about usability, onboarding, value perception, and missing functionality in a form that is easy to compare with other feedback channels.
- It brings public review feedback into the same analysis flow as support, sales calls, and surveys.
- It helps teams compare what customers say privately with what they say in public.

What gets imported
- Object in NEXT: Highlights
- Source objects: G2 survey responses for a configured product
- Included fields: Review text, title when available, rating, reviewer name when available, timestamps, product context, and source identifiers.
Authentication
G2 API key configured on the subscription.
Connection notes
- Configure the subscription with the specific G2 product ID to import.
- Configure the subscription with the G2 API key that can access that product's data.
- Enable the Teamspace subscription that should receive the imported reviews.
This setup allows multiple G2 products with different API keys to import into the same NEXT project by using separate subscriptions on the same integration.
Configuration notes
- Imports are incremental and only fetch new or updated survey responses after the last successful sync.
- Create one subscription per product if you want separate routing, tagging behavior, or credentials for different products.
- Imported Highlights are tagged with
G2, the star rating tag when present, and the product name when available.
Limitations
- This import depends on the
survey-responsesrelationship exposed by the G2 Data API for the configured product. - Only responses available to the API key configured on that subscription can be imported.
- Imported fields depend on the response payload returned by G2.
Troubleshooting
- If the import is disabled immediately, check whether the subscription API key is valid and whether the configured product ID exists.
- If the import appears stalled, verify the configured product has survey responses available through the G2 API and that the subscription is pointed at the intended product.
