Edit a Skill

Use Skills to refine the name, trigger, or instructions of an existing skill as your team workflows evolve.

Updating a skill keeps the chat behavior aligned with the way your team currently works.

Before You Start

  • You must have permission to edit teamspace settings.
  • Review the current skill setup so you know which part needs to change.

Steps

  1. Open Teamspace Settings > Chat with AI > Skills.
  2. Select the skill you want to update.
  3. Edit the name, activation guidance, or instructions.
  4. Click outside the field to save the change.

When Should I Use Skill Editing?

  • When a skill no longer reflects the way your team wants chat to respond.
  • When the activation guidance is too vague or outdated.

Tips

  • Update the trigger and instructions together if the intended use case has changed.
  • Keep the wording practical so the next editor can understand the purpose quickly.
