Import Survicate surveys

Quick start

Connect Survicate in NEXT, configure the API key on the integration, enable the Teamspace subscription with the Survicate survey ID you want to import, and let the scheduled sync pull survey responses into NEXT as Highlights.

Why integrate with Survicate?

Survicate is often used for in-app and on-site feedback collection, where teams want quick access to structured answers and free-text comments tied to the moment of use. Importing those responses into NEXT keeps that product feedback in the same analysis flow as calls, tickets, reviews, and other customer signals.

  • It brings structured answer choices and free-text comments into one workflow.
  • It keeps ongoing app feedback available for tagging, clustering, and highlight creation in NEXT.

What gets imported

  • Object in NEXT: Highlights
  • Source objects: Survicate survey responses
  • Included fields: Derived response text, ratings, selected answer values, language and platform metadata, timestamps, and source identifiers.

Authentication

Survicate API key configured in the integration.

Connection notes

  • Configure the integration with a Survicate API key that can access the target survey.
  • Configure the Teamspace subscription with the Survicate survey ID to import.

Configuration notes

  • NEXT fetches survey question metadata and uses it to turn structured answers into readable highlight text.
  • Imports are incremental and continue from the previous successful sync timestamp.
  • Raw survey responses and parquet exports are stored alongside the imported highlights for later inspection and backfills.

Limitations

  • NEXT can only import responses that are visible to the configured API key.

Troubleshooting

  • If no responses appear, verify that the API key has access to the configured survey ID.
  • If text output looks incomplete, review whether the survey uses answer types that are intentionally treated as metadata instead of free text.

FAQ

What does NEXT create from each Survicate response?

Each imported response becomes a Highlight with normalized survey text and any mapped metadata such as rating and platform.

Does NEXT store the raw Survicate response data too?

Yes. NEXT stores the raw survey payload and a parquet export so the imported dataset can be inspected or reused later.
