Reassign Tags

Use Reassign Tags after you update a tagging rule and want existing highlights to be processed again with the latest logic.

This helps you validate or roll out rule changes without manually retagging older highlights one by one.

Before You Start

  • You must have permission to edit teamspace settings.
  • Review the rule changes first so you know why you are rerunning the job.

Steps

  1. Open Teamspace Settings > Prepare with AI > Assign Tags.
  2. Select the tagging rule you want to rerun.
  3. Choose Recreate tags.
  4. Pick whether you want to test on a recent sample first or process the full set of highlights.

When Should I Use Reassign Tags?

  • When you have changed a tagging rule and want existing highlights processed again.
  • When you want to validate revised logic against a sample before using it more broadly.

Tips

  • Start with the sample option when you are testing a revised rule.
  • Reprocess all highlights only after you are confident the rule behaves the way you expect.

Example

This example reruns an existing tagging rule against a recent sample to validate the updated behavior before scaling it up.

FAQ

Q: Should I start with a sample run?

Yes. A sample run is the safer option when you want to confirm that a revised tagging rule behaves correctly before processing the full set of highlights.
