Share to Miro

Use Share to Miro when you want to move feedback from NEXT onto a Miro board for visual synthesis, workshops, or planning sessions.

Miro sharing is configured in Settings → Integrations → Miro. When you share, NEXT lets you search for and choose the destination board before it creates the Miro content.

Before You Start

  • Open the teamspace where you want to connect Miro.
  • Make sure you can access and edit the Miro board you want to use.
  • Decide whether you want to send a single item or a full cluster.

Steps to Connect (One-Time)

  1. In NEXT, open Settings → Integrations → Miro.
  2. Click Connect and complete the authorization flow.

Steps to Share

  1. Open the chat, highlight, or cluster you want to share.
  2. Click Share and choose Miro.
  3. Search for and select the Miro board you want to use.
  4. Confirm the share.

NEXT sends the content to the selected board. If you share a cluster, NEXT creates multiple items so the evidence can be reviewed on the board together.

When Should I Use Miro?

  • Use Miro when your team reviews feedback visually in boards, workshops, or planning sessions.
  • Use Miro when you want to bring a cluster into a collaborative space for sorting and grouping.
  • Use Miro when the next step is discussion and synthesis rather than backlog triage.

Tips

  • Create a dedicated area on the board for customer evidence before you start sharing into it.
  • Share clusters when you want several related signals to land together.
  • If teammates cannot view the source link from Miro, check their access in NEXT, not just their access to the board.

Troubleshooting

  • Miro is not available in the share menu. Connect Miro first in Settings → Integrations → Miro for the current teamspace.
  • You can connect Miro but cannot share to a board. Make sure you have edit access to the selected Miro board.
  • Teammates can see the Miro board but cannot open the source link. The link still follows NEXT permissions, so they also need access in NEXT.
  • Bulk sharing starts failing after many requests. Miro can rate limit API usage, so retry in smaller batches if needed.

FAQ

Q: What does NEXT ask for when I share to Miro?

NEXT asks you to choose the destination Miro board.

Q: What happens when I share a cluster to Miro?

NEXT creates multiple Miro items from the cluster so the supporting evidence can be reviewed together on the board.

Q: Why can I connect Miro but still fail to share?

The most common cause is missing edit access to the selected Miro board.

Q: Can I update the Miro items automatically if the NEXT item changes later?

No. Sharing to Miro is a create flow. If the content changes later, share it again or edit the Miro board manually.

Only people who already have permission to view that item in NEXT.
