Share to Teams
Use Share to Teams when you want NEXT to post customer evidence into Microsoft Teams as part of a workflow.
In the current Microsoft integration setup, Teams posting is managed through Settings → Integrations → Microsoft and the Post to Teams workflow action. The integration also exposes Teams chat (externally managed) in Microsoft settings, which means some organizations may need Microsoft-side setup or approval before posting is available.
Before You Start
- Open the teamspace where you want to connect Microsoft.
- Make sure the Microsoft integration is connected in Settings → Integrations → Microsoft.
- Make sure you can post to the Teams channels you want to use.
- If your organization restricts Teams apps or custom integrations, ask a Microsoft Teams admin to approve the setup first.
Steps to Connect (One-Time)
- In NEXT, open Settings → Integrations → Microsoft.
- Click Connect and complete the Microsoft authorization flow.
- If your organization manages Teams posting externally, complete any Microsoft Teams app setup required by your admin.
Steps to Share
- Open Workflows in NEXT.
- Create a new workflow or edit an existing one.
- Configure the trigger that should decide when NEXT posts to Teams.
- Add the Post to Teams action.
- Select one or more Teams channels.
- Save and enable the workflow.
When the workflow runs, NEXT posts the generated content into the selected Teams channels and includes a link back to the source in NEXT.
When Should I Use Teams?
- Use Teams when your organization works primarily in Microsoft 365 and wants feedback delivered there automatically.
- Use Teams when the same type of signal should be posted repeatedly without a manual share step.
- Use Teams when you want customer evidence to appear in a channel as part of an ongoing team workflow.
Tips
- Keep one workflow per audience or use case so the destination channels stay easy to manage.
- If Teams posting is unavailable after Microsoft is connected, check whether your organization requires extra Microsoft-side approval or app setup.
- If you need different audiences to receive different signals, create separate workflows with different channel selections.
Troubleshooting
- Teams is not available in workflows. Make sure Microsoft is connected in Settings → Integrations → Microsoft for the current teamspace.
- Microsoft is connected but Teams posting still does not work. Your organization may require Microsoft Teams app approval or extra Microsoft-managed setup.
- The message does not appear in the expected channel. Check which Teams channels were selected in the workflow action.
- Posting fails for some channels only. Make sure the connected Microsoft account can post in those channels.
