We often get asked what the difference is between Labels and Tags. Here's a quick explanation.

Labels are used to categorize either Recordings or Clusters. Once you added a label to a recording or cluster, you can use search to filter on them afterwards.

Tags are explicitly used for categorizing highlights. Whenever you create or edit a highlight, you can add or modify the tags that belong to that highlight. Tags have more functions than labels, such as color coding, and are therefore named differently in NEXT. Generally, people use tags to classify highlights belonging to the same topic, either using the tag itself or its color.
