Import Google Drive files

Quick start​

Connect Google Drive in NEXT, enable the Teamspace subscription for this import, and let the scheduled sync pull Google Drive files from the subscribed resource into NEXT as Recordings.

Why integrate with Google Drive?​

Many teams already use Drive folders as the handoff point for transcripts, recordings, interviews, and exported meeting artifacts. Connecting Google Drive to NEXT turns that storage habit into a lightweight intake workflow for analysis.

  • It lets a folder become an ingestion point instead of relying on manual uploads.
  • It works well when your source is file-based rather than tied to a dedicated call platform.
  • It gives research, CX, and product teams a simple way to operationalize files they already store in Google Workspace.

What gets imported​

  • Object in NEXT: Recordings
  • Source objects: Google Drive files from the subscribed resource
  • Included fields: File name, file URL, created or modified timestamps, and the downloaded file contents used for recording import.

Connection notes​

  • Connect the Google integration and authorize access to the Drive resources NEXT should read.
  • Configure the subscription with the Drive folder or resource that should be monitored.

Configuration notes​

  • The subscription resource determines which Drive files are eligible for import.
  • NEXT syncs only new or changed files after the last successful import timestamp.

Limitations​

  • Only supported file types can be turned into Recordings.
  • Access to shared drives or restricted folders depends on the Google account that authorized the integration.

Troubleshooting​

  • Reconnect Google if refresh tokens are revoked or Drive scopes changed.
  • If a folder appears empty, confirm the connected account can see that resource directly in Google Drive.
