Use Web Search Mode

Use Web search mode in Chat when you want NEXT to bring in outside web context alongside the data already available in your teamspace.

Web search mode behaves like an external researcher. It looks beyond the current workspace for broader context, examples, trends, and public references.

It is useful when your question depends on current market context, competitor references, or external information that does not live inside NEXT.

Before You Start

  • Open the NEXT homepage inside the teamspace you want to analyze.
  • Start with a prompt that benefits from outside context.
  • Be clear about what you want from the web, such as market examples, public references, or broader context.

Steps

  1. Enter the question you want NEXT to answer.
  2. Open the chat options menu.
  3. Select Web search mode.
  4. Send the chat.
  5. Review how the answer combines teamspace data with outside context.
  6. Refine the prompt if you want a narrower or different external angle.

When Should I Use Web Search Mode?

  • When the question depends on information outside your teamspace.
  • When you want broader context around a trend, company, market, or public topic.
  • When you want NEXT to combine internal findings with web-based references.
  • When you want a more outward-looking response than the default chat mode provides.

Tips

  • Say what kind of outside context you want so the answer does not stay too broad.
  • Use teamspace-specific wording in the prompt when you want NEXT to connect internal findings to the outside context.
  • Stay in the default chat mode when your question only depends on teamspace data.

FAQ

Q: What does Web search mode change?

Web search mode allows NEXT to pull in web context in addition to the data already available in your workspace.

Q: When should I use Web search instead of the default chat mode?

Use Web search when the answer needs outside context. Stay in the default mode when the question can be answered from teamspace data alone.

Q: Does Web search replace my teamspace data?

No. It adds external context rather than replacing the information already available in your teamspace.
